Dr. Houser is a Professor of Architectural Engineering at Penn State and editor-in-chief of LEUKOS, the scholarly journal of IES. In the past he was a founding faculty member of the Architectural Engineering program at the University of Nebraska and Manager of Lighting Education at Philips Lighting. He was formerly on the Board of Directors for IES, IALD, and the Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education. He is a current board member of Lux Pacifica, and a member of Editorial Advisory Board of Architectural Lighting. He has published 40 papers in refereed journals and more than 70 other publications in conference proceedings, trade magazines, and other outlets. He is one of four editors of the 10th edition IES Lighting Handbook. He is a Fellow of IES.
