Tad Trylski is an independent designer with over 20 years of widely varied experience in lighting – graduate of the University of Birmingham's School of Engineering and The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.  Professional work divided between the worlds of theatre and architecture;  positions with theatre lighting company, DHA;  design firm, Pinniger & Partners;  lighting manufacturer, ERCO;  most recently, as design director with design consultancy, Light Bureau.

Project work from School Theatres to the West End;  Blue Chips to Cruise Ships and from the Clifton Suspension Bridge to the Pyramids of Giza.  Academic interests and research projects include colour perception and lighting control systems. 

Authored and delivered seminars for architects and lectured extensively.  Active member of the Society of Light and Lighting - recently serving as technical editor for the latest UK museum lighting guidelines - and the International Association of Lighting Designers.
